Fishing at Daisy Lodge in Stratford upon Avon

Holiday cottage with private river fishing

You can fish from the banks along both sides of the River Avon throughout Avon Park and the  adjacent

Rayford Park.  This stretch of river is about 1 1/2 miles long so you can stay at either of our holiday cottages and expect plenty of private river fishing space.  There is a field with fishing stands where you can erect a bivvy should you wish - but only in this field.  The fishing is free but you need your own private licence.  See the review below for the wide range of fish in the river and there are eels there too.

George who lives in Stratford Lodge - opposite Daisy Lodge and next to Kingfisher Lodge - is a

keen fisherman and always willing to help if you have any fishing queries.

“We found the fishing to be excellent. We caught lots of pike on lures and live baits. There are also plenty of perch including some big ones that hang around near the wall where the boats are moored, close to the landing area (according to one of the neighbours). There are also Zander present too. We didn’t see any but someone we met on the bank showed me a picture of a very big one that he had caught the previous day. There are also plenty of other species present including the usual river species - roach, bream, dace, chub, bleak etc.”

Among all the things to do in Stratford upon Avon the fishing is fantastic.
